I woke up today to blue skies, hot sun, and a gentle breeze – I love Thailand! When I first started dating in Thailand I was new to the country and didn’t really know anywhere cool to take a girl. One of the places I discovered early on that is a great place to go is Dreamworld! I loved theme parks in the West and while this might not be as grand it has enough to provide a fun day for the two of you.
It is located in Rangsit which is on the edge of Bangkok. It is not too far but coming back at rush hour is usually a nightmare in the traffic.
At Dreamworld there is an indoor and outdoor rollercoaster, rapids, go karts, live action show, parks/greenery/lake, giants house, haunted house, and my favorite ride is the log flume 
One thing to note is that you really shouldn’t take any Thai girl you met from the Internet to a big day out for your first date unless you are feeling lucky because if you don’t like each other in the first hour then the remaining hours of the day out could be quite painful or boring – make sure that there is some chemistry before planning such a big date to avoid disappointment on each end 
Update: Don’t forget about snowtown! It is the only place in Thailand to show a Thai lady real snow. You can sledge and enjoy the wonders of fake plastic animals covered in refrigerator frost. It isn’t a holiday in Switzerland but its only a couple hundred baht and very accessible from Bangkok!
I thought I would make everyone aware of a few different types of scams going on at the moment. They revolve around a beautiful but helpless Filipina girl who has lost everything due to a natural disaster of some kind such as flooding – but somehow still has Internet and banking . As mentioned before the easiest way to stay immune to being scammed is to just not send money. If you need to arrange flights then buy the actual flight tickets and don’t send money and let them do it. Common sense is a good guide but sometimes it is helpful to be aware of the most recent tactics used by these fake profile Filipinas in their attempts to part you from your hard earned cash!

If you are taking a trip for the first time to a new country – perhaps the Philippines? Then always research your hotel before you book. There are a lot of great sites which use the power of social media to give you a preview of the place before you book it so there is no excuse.
I always thought hotels in Manila were so expensive, and I Google’d to find out why and found this!
Trip advisor is an awesome website and I strongly recommend viewing your hotel before you book it there – in the case of this hotel it looked awful 
If you don’t mind expensive and want a guaranteed nice hotel then I have heard great things from friends about the Shangri-la in Makati.
If you are flying to the Philippines to meet a girl you could always take her somewhere nice outside of the city. You will have a local guide as a bonus and the prices aren’t so high (and you can get more for your money) outside of Manila too.
